“OFFERING AN UNPARALLELED RANGE OF SPECIALIST CONTRACTING ACTIVITIES”

safe AND SUSTAINABLE With safety as our core value we have developed a strict safety culture without any compromise. Our commitment is an incident-free work environment. Therefore Boskalis created the NINA safety program. NINA (No Injuries No Accidents) sets clear values and rules, which explain what we expect from our people with regard to their safety behavior. NINA makes people aware of their own responsibility regarding safety and encourages them to take action if operations are unsafe and approach others if they are at risk. NINA is embedded in our organizational systems and managed by leading indicators. Boskalis is known for its dedication to the environment. Wherever possible, we work to mitigate environmental concerns. We are one of the frontrunners in testing the use of sustainable marine biofuels on our vessels to lower our carbon footprint. Furthermore, with our ‘Building with Nature’ initiative we encourage stakeholders to join forces to research, understand and reduce the impact of offshore and marine operations on the environment.

“Our commitment is AN incident-free work environment”

FOCUS INVESTING IN ‘THE OPTIMUM’ NOT ‘THE ULTIMATE’

Our contracting philosophy is also characteristic of our growth ambition in the offshore energy market: we focus on being a marine expert with our own fleet of purpose-built vessels and equipment offering a tailor-made solution for any offshore challenge. We invest in being the best marine contractor with the best vessels and people for the job, ensuring that we have full control of our own floating assets and can provide smart and cost-effective solutions for our clients. Investing in people is key to meeting the client’s needs, both now and in the future. We believe that the best professionals in engineering, project management and operations in the business want to work for a specialist company that is ambitious and capable of executing cutting-edge projects safely and sustainably. By focusing on our position as a marine expert, we create an attractive and challenging environment for the best people in the industry who want to tackle complexity, manage risks and execute projects that push the boundaries of technical possibility. Entrepreneurial team players with a drive to go

a step further with innovative, effective and efficient solutions. Always within our professional quality framework and uniform Way of Working (WoW) to guarantee ‘first time right’ and supported by NINA (No Injuries No Accidents), our progressive safety program which is engrained in our culture and held in high regard within the industry. Our combined versatile fleet of vessels is unique in the industry and a cornerstone of our strategy. Having optimal control guarantees our clients availability and access to vessels that are built for purpose, ensuring efficiency and reliability. In line with our objective of providing added value to the client, we constantly invest in our vessels to support specific functions in transport, marine and subsea installation as well as in subsea services. Being fit for purpose also means that our thinking is geared towards safe and efficient solutions: we invest in ‘the optimum’ not ‘the ultimate’, because we know that at the end of the day projects have to be delivered on time and on budget.

INCREASED EFFICIENCY THROUGH DECREASED COMPLEXITY Boskalis is a specialist within its respective marine contracting disciplines with the ability to combine its offering. As a specialist, we offer our clients efficiency. Along with the breadth of our activities and the ability to bring our experts and state-of-the-art equipment together we are also able to combine these specialties to offer clients decreased complexity in multi-disciplinary projects. We are pragmatic in our approach and focused on the end results with safety as our core value. By providing various complementary activities as the main contractor, we reduce the number of interfaces and minimize risks throughout the project. This also allows us to engineer the optimum solution by building a team around the client’s needs and sharing knowledge and insights at every stage of the project, resulting in optimum control of time and budget. This is how we create New Horizons together with our clients in the offshore energy sector.
