TALENT MANAGEMENT AND ENGAGEMENT

COVID-19 2020 has delivered unique challenges for Human Resources within Boskalis. The coronavirus required the immediate attention of our HR department when the global spread became evident in March, and we quickly developed a range of initiatives to optimize not only the wellbeing of our employees, our first concern, but also the continuity of our business practices. These initiatives were developed and broadened as the pandemic continued (see page 10 for details). OUR APPROACH At Boskalis, our people are our most important asset and their wellbeing is our number-one priority. We are committed to creating the conditions they need to reach their full potential. Our global team of dedicated, experienced professionals is a main differentiator in achieving and maintaining our competitive advantage. In view of this, recruitment, retention and development of excellent staff is one of the main elements of our business and our sustainability strategy. COVID-19 forced us to alter our priorities in 2020. However, we continued to refine our human resources agenda for the coming years based on the outcomes of our 2019 Employee Engagement Survey. One of the survey’s main findings was that employees feel a great deal of pride in the company and passion for their work.
